Seatropica: About
Seatropica started out in 2022 as an experimental ambient electronica project inspired by movie soundtracks with the album releases Abyss and Particle Stream. Created as a relaxing spin-off project from the heavier industrial sounds of Omega Ronin, studio producer Mark Bussler drives the Seatropica sound in a completely opposite direction with syncopated drums, shakers, and a chill vibe that you won't find in the 'Ronin songs.
"If Omega Ronin is there to take you back in time to 1984 or into the future on robot starships, Seatropica is here to send you off on a relaxing island getaway. It's a fun way to experiment with some completely different styles and open up the Omega Ronin studio to new ideas. Or, Seatropica fans might enjoy the heavier 'Ronin sound. What's important is that you have fun listening."
Seatropica music is 100% original and all songs are written and performed by Omega Ronin and Turbo Volcano producer Mark Bussler. Seatropica is recorded in the Omega Ronin Studio on a heavy battery of synthesizers, samplers, and drum machines. "The Seatropica sound is rhythmic and relaxing, but it is also well produced and should sound big in your headphones or on a stereo. My Omega Ronin music is very precise and on the beat, Seatropica is shuffled around quite a bit for that unique rhythmic groove. The drums and basslines couldn't be more different, but sharp ears might hear some familiar 'Ronin keyboards in the background. It's a completely different kind of sound, but I think Omega Ronin fans might enjoy a bit of familiarity with a twist!"
